The first approved CB-SSB multi-standard handheld radio. SSB devices allow a range of about twice that of FM devices. The Albrecht handheld radio, AE 2990 AFS, is a multi-standard CB handheld radio that can be switched to all standards and operating modes common in Europe. The device can be used as a portable device with batteries, as a vehicle device or as a fixed station on mobile or station antennas, also with external power supply via 12 V adapter cable. Licensed radio amateurs can also use the device without any problems in the amateur radio ranges (10 m and 12 m band).
