A 2.5 gigabit LAN connection, USB 3.0 and the DECT base for cordless telephony and smart home applications complete the versatile communications offering.

Innovative Wi-Fi 6 for a high-end WLAN with many end devices
In addition to smartphones, notebooks, TVs and game consoles, more and more household and smart home devices are designed for wireless connections - ideal for Wi-Fi 6. As a WLAN mesh central unit, the FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable ensures the best WLAN quality in the entire home network. In WLAN mesh, distributed WLAN nodes (e.g. FRITZ!Box and several FRITZ!Repeaters) are combined into a single intelligent WLAN network. The FRITZ!Box 6690 Cable forms the central unit (Mesh Master) and actively controls all other access points so that WLAN end devices used in the home network are always registered at the access point with the best connection. Mobile WLAN devices switch automatically and conveniently between the access points without interrupting a running application.

Versatile Smart Home and convenient telephony
Smart home devices such as the FRITZ!DECT 301 radiator controller, the FRITZ!DECT 200/210 switchable sockets, the FRITZ!DECT 440 button and the FRITZ!DECT 500 LED lamp are controlled via the integrated DECT base. Two analog telephones and up to six DECT cordless telephones (e.g. FRITZ!Fon) can be registered on the integrated telephone system. Smartphones can also be turned into fully-fledged VoIP telephones via WLAN. Versatile multimedia functions
