The Vigor2865/2866 series includes security firewall routers with an integrated DSL modem. This modem is compatible with all common variants of ADSL and VDSL, including VDSL Supervectoring (profile 35b) and Annex-J. In addition, both series have a Gigabit Ethernet WAN port for broadband connections to either split the data traffic or use the WAN port as a failover connection. The Vac variant has two interfaces for analog telephones. The Vigor2866 series modem also supports G.Fast with the 106Mhz and 212Mhz profiles.
The routers can also serve as a central management portal for Vigor APs and Vigor switches, providing an easier way to manage all network devices.
Flexible LAN management
Both series support the 802.1Q standard and can therefore set up a tag-based or port-based VLAN system so that each LAN port can be configured as a member of different VLANs and yet be isolated from each other without using VLAN tags.
Central Management
The series can act as a central management portal for Vigor APs and Vigor Switches. With centralized management functions such as firmware upgrade, configuration backup, restore and monitoring, everything can be configured from a single portal via the routers' web user interface.
Secure Business Network
A Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) firewall is implemented. This allows flexible filtering rules to be set to accept or reject packets based on source IP, destination IP, protocol, port number and even the content of the packet.
Content filtering by URL keyword or application can prevent time and network resources from being wasted on inappropriate network activities.
The routers are robust VPN servers that are perfect for multi-location businesses or remote work environments. The VPN is compatible with all major standard protocols as well as third-party VPNs.
