The Store n Go external hard drive is USB 3.0 bus-powered and backwards compatible with USB 2.0 ports on PCs or notebooks. This external hard drive is powered directly via the USB port and is ready for use straight away.

Hard drives smaller than 2 TB will be formatted in FAT32 and can be used immediately in Windows or Mac OS X. Hard drives larger than 2 TB will be formatted in NTFS, which is only compatible with Windows operating systems. Mac users will need to reformat the drive to HFS+ to make it fully compatible with Mac OS X operating systems. Formatting to HFS+ can be done using the Verbatim VHD formatter included with the drive.

The included "Nero BackItUp Essentials" software provides additional security for your PC or laptop and supports you in making a backup copy. With "BackItUp Essentials" you can back up all your files, folders and drives at any time or, for additional security, set up automatic backups at a specific time.

"Nero BackItUp Essentials" software is compatible with Windows 7, Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 10 (not compatible with Mac OS).

Also included with the Verbatim Store 'n' Go external hard drive is the Green Button energy saving software. This software allows you to switch the external hard drive off completely when it is not in use. This increases efficiency and saves energy.
