You recently moved out of your castle and into a nicely furnished ravine to save money. But the old, dilapidated castle wasn't really to your taste anymore anyway. The looters were constantly coming - and at the most inconvenient times. Either the barbarians came, or the plague came, sometimes both at the same time - and there were never enough chairs.
